One of three children born to Edith and Frank P. Scarangello, Tighe grew up in the South Bronx. “I come from an Italian family,” Tighe told ''The Real Deal.'' “My mom was the secretary at the church rectory. She attended Cardinal Spellman High School, also the alma mater of Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
